Mrs. Ossie McFarlin Adams

Mrs. Ossie Lee McFarlin Adams, age 82, of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born July 9, 1936 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Fitzugh Lee "Fitch" and Flossie Caudell McFarlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ted Adams and her siblings, Noel McFarlin, George McFarlin, Max McFarlin, Manna Cook, Ruth Looney, Don McFarlin, Dal McFarlin, Deck McFarlin, and Mary Halford.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Gail Osborne McFarlin and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, was a homemaker and a beautician. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Eastern Star and was the last member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Saturday, February 9, 2019 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Mr. Denman McFarlin and Mr. Shannon McFarlin officiating. Mrs. Jennifer McFarlin will share a poem she wrote for Aunt Ossie.

Burial will follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Stan McFarlin officiating at the graveside service.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Travis McFarlin, Lynn Cook, Frankie Andrews, Doug McFarlin, Tyler Owenby, Nick McFarlin, Jamie McFarlin, and Steve McFarlin.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm Friday, February 8, 2019 and from 1pm until the service on Saturday.

Flowers are optional. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346.
