Mrs. Mattie Lee Moore Ayers Coker, age 88, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her home.

Born April 18, 1930 in Carnesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Gordon and Winne Lee Stowe Moore.

Family members include her daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Ayers Smith and Jerry, and Gail Ayers Shirley and Edward; grandchildren, Jimmy Shirley, Stan and Renee Smith; great-grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Sam Smith, and Trey Shirley; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Gene Wigley, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Lavell Payne, Emmie Joyce Dewberry, Hellon and Joe DeFoor; her uncle, Buren Stowe; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Walton Gerald Ayers; her second husband, Ilon Neil Coker; and brothers, Robert Allen Moore and Joe Dan Moore.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Thursday, December 20, 2018 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Brandon Crunkleton and the Rev. Don Scott officiating.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Roy DeFoor, Danny Dewberry, Jeff Turpin, Tony Ledford, Larry Clark, and Ray Clark.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Wednesday.

Flowers are optional. Those desiring may make memorial donations to a charity or church of your choice.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Northeast Georgia Hospice and the Doctors and the Nurses that took care of Mrs. Mattie Ayers Coker.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Patricia Ayers Smith.

Whitlock Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
