Mr. James Edward Riddle

Mr. James Edward "Ed" Riddle, age 75, of Eastanollee, GA, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at Piedmont Healthcare at Athens Regional.

Born July 21, 1943, he was the son of the late Robert Newton and Venie Estelle James Riddle. He was a member of Toms Creek Baptist Church where he was an active member in the Bruce Adams Sunday School Class, Brotherhood, and various outreach ministries. He also served as head usher. He was a licensed electrician and maintenance supervisor and was a Gideon. Ed enjoyed cattle farming, deer hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Family members include his wife, Tammy Martin Riddle; son, John Ernest Riddle of Clayton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Julie Riddle Kenner and Randy of Clayton, GA; grandchildren, Jay Edward Riddle, Maxwell James Howard, and John Tyler Riddle; great-granddaughter, Audrey Lake Riddle; sister-in-law, Mildred Strickland Riddle of Jesup; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters; Howard Riddle, Robert Newton Riddle, Jr., Sarah Surrency, Audrey Owens, Ruby Wood, Eugene Riddle, and Betty Lou Ratcliff.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Monday, December 17, 2018 at Toms Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Marcus, Rev. Jerrell Beatty, Mr. Jay Riddle, and Mr. John Riddle officiating.

Burial will follow at Toms Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Earl Rochester, Jack Harper, Richard Pulliam, Barry Adams, Larry McFarlin, Donald Keith, Jay Riddle, and Stacy Coker.

Robert Huxford "Hux" Riddle, Walter Bowen Riddle, John Kinard "Ki" Riddle, Jared Sheriff, Jacob Sheriff, and Maxwell James "Max" Howard will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm – 5pm Sunday, December 16, 2018.
