Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Edmonds

Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Edmonds, age 74, of Toccoa, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at his home.

Born July 13, 1943 in Oconee County, SC, he was a son of the late John Barnett and Etha Pearl Wiley Edmonds.

He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was retired from Patterson Pump. Mr. Edmonds enjoy cattle and horses and was a Livestock Broker. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Family members include his wife, Lois Collins Edmonds; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise Collier, Tina Broome and Quint, and Sherry McCaw and Mike; brother, Claude Edmonds; sisters, Hazel Brock and Patsy Segars; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Bryan Edmonds; and brothers and sisters, Fred Edmonds, Carlton Edmonds, Christine Simpson, Lassie Fulbright, Mildred Meece, and Francis Singletary.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Albert Hudson and the Rev. Tommy Childress officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Brandon McCaw, Ethan McCaw, Tyler Keeling, Dykes Dalrymple, Horace Swift, Brian Fuller, L. C. Hayes, and Terry Garner.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

Flowers are optional. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Liberty Baptist Church 127 Fairground Road, Toccoa, GA 30577 or the American Heart Association, or 1720 Epps Bridge Parkway, Suite 108-383, Athens, GA 30606.
