Mrs. Hazel Talley Ayers

Mrs. Hazel Marie Talley Ayers, age 71, of Lavonia, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Born December 20, 1947 in Rabun County, GA, she was the daughter of the late John Riley and Effie Carpenter Talley. She was retired from the automotive industry and was a member of Carnesville Church of God. Hazel was passionate about God and Family. She loved getaways with her husband, beach trips, and fishing trips with her family. She also loved shopping for others.

Family members include her husband, Keith Ayers of the home; children, Dalton Ayers of Westminster, SC, Debbie and Michael Uskiewicz of Scaly Mountain, NC, Sherrye Denard of Tignall, GA; and Randy Edmondson of Clayton, GA; grandchildren, Kayla Nalley, Jason Whitlock, Mathew Wilson, Rhett Denard, Grant Denard, Kyle Edmondson, Michael Uskiewicz, Jr., Rhianna Curtice, and Nikole Hudson; twenty four great-grandchildren; sister, Pearl Carpenter of Scaly Mountain, NC; and a sister-in-law, Kim Camp and her husband Bobby of Franklin, NC.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Carnesville Church of God with the Rev. Gary Ledford officiating.

Entombment will follow at Roselane Mausoleum.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Mathew Wilson, Rhett Denard, Grant Denard, Jason Whitlock, Michael Uskiewicz, Jr., and Ernie Denard.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Carnesville Church of God from 1pm until the service.
