Mr. Ferrell Morgan

Mr. Ferrell Morgan, age 85, of Martin, GA, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at his home.

Born May 30, 1932 in Fayette County, GA, he was a son of the late Homer Spence and Mattie Lizzie Ward Morgan.

Ferrell owned and operated Morgan Concrete Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran and was a member of the V. F. W. and was a former member of many other civic organizations.

Family members include his wife, Sue Stovall Morgan; daughter, Merideth Sue Morgan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott Ferrell and Dawn Carlton Morgan and John Robert and Donna Cates Morgan; grandchildren, Madison Nicole Morgan, Nicholas Ferrell Morgan, Natalie Anne Morgan, Matthew Evan Cates, Danielle Megan McAllister and husband Mak McAllister, Emily Grace Morgan; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Lew McAllister; his sister, Elizabeth Anderson; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Winston Morgan, Mary Kelley, Hilda Morris, Marjorie Koman, Francis Duke, Fred Morgan, Wilbur Morgan, and Donald Morgan.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Toccoa First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ritcey, Dr. Henry Fields, and the Rev. Brett Sanders officiating.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the V. F. W. Post 4346.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Cole Morgan, Matthew Cates, Len Stovall, Logan Stovall, Billy Lawson, and Jeff Morgan.

Bob Stovall, Howell Lawson, Milton Spratlin, Gordon Telford, Bob Struble, Bob Troup, Bob Massey, and Andrew Pavliscsak will serve as honorary pallbearers and will meet at the Church at 10:30 am Wednesday morning.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm Tuesday.

Flowers are optional. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Team Ferrell's Concrete Convoy Walk to End Alzheimer's at or to the First Baptist Church of Toccoa Youth Department.
