Mr. Daniel Peak "Dan" Coker, age 88, of Toccoa, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at University Hospital in Cleveland, OH.

Born May 4, 1930 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Lewis Franklin and Cora Wiley Coker.

Dan was a member of Hill Street Baptist Church and was a retired welder with LeTourneau/WABCO.

Family members include his wife, Emily Whiten Coker of the home; son, Michael Coker of Cleveland, OH; daughter, Janice Whitfield of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Matthew Whitfield and Andrew Whitfield and his wife Melissa; great-grandchildren, Caleb Whitfield, Eli Whitfield, and Zachary Whitfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Monday, March 4, 2019 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Mr. Josh McCall officiating.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Clay Slocum, James Whiten, Kale Whiten, David Loden, Jack Kesler, and Roger Slocum.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm – 5pm Sunday, March 3, 2019.
