Mrs. Connie Evans Powell

Mrs. Connie Evans Powell, age 59, of Toccoa, gained her Angel Wings on Thursday, January 31, 2019.

Born March 14, 1959 in Toccoa, she was the daughter of Grace Thompson Evans and the late James Franklin Evans.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was employed with the Stephens County School System as a Paraprofessional. Connie's passion was working with children and she touched many lives in the 21 years she worked at Big A School. She was devoted to her family, loved spending time with her grandson Cooper, and her dachshund furbabies.

Family members include her mother, Grace Thompson Evans, her husband, Terry Powell; her children, Joshua and April Carter Powell, Amanda Powell, and Zach Powell, her grandson Cooper James Powell; her sister and brother-in-law, Paddie and Rev. Ken Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at three o'clock Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Jackson, the Rev. Jason Long, and the Rev. Stacy Penland officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselane Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Henry Powell, Chris Powell, Joshua Powell, Zachary Powell, Matthew Jackson, and Bradley Walker.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 11am – 2pm and from 5pm – 8pm Saturday, February 2, 2019.

The family will be at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Paddie and Rev. Ken Jackson.
