.Mr. Brian Stuart Bridges, age 51, of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at his home after an extended illness.

Born July 1, 1966 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Anita Haygood Bridges and the late William McCollister Bridges.

He was a former employee of Wal-Mart and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Grace Duvall Small Group. Brian loved music and playing several instruments. He also enjoyed playing golf.

Family members include his mother, Anita Haygood Bridges; his wife, Lavona Wheeler Bridges; son, Isaac Bridges; daughter, Sarah Bridges; sister, Dr. Teresa McCreary, sister-in-law Stephanie Thompson, Dr. Malissa Turner; Aunt, Mary Ruth Galloway; mother-in-law, Shirley Collins; father-in-law, Dwight Wheeler; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at two-thirty Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Childs officiating.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bruce Galloway officiating at the graveside service.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Gary Bruce, Greg Galloway, Joe Kelley, Kole Kelley, Jordan McCreary, Dale Wheeler, Ken Wheeler, Ty Wheeler, and Mark Price.

The Grace Duvall Small Group will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm Saturday, February 3, 2018 and from 12 noon until 2pm Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Isaac and Sarah Bridges College Fund, c/o Lavona Bridges @ South State Bank.
