Mr. Bobby Ray Smith

Mr. Bobby Ray Smith, age 77, of Toccoa, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017.

Born October 15, 1939, he was a son of the late Cicero Buren "CB" and Nellie Blanche Herron Smith. He was a member of Eastanollee Baptist Church and was retired from Tabor Motor Company. Bobby was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.

Family members include his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Susan Smith, and Kevin and Sherri Smith; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Matt Dixon and Gina and Jeremiah Baker; grandchildren, Jesse Dill, Devyn Dill, Zackary Smith, Dillan Smith, Haden Smith, Dell Dixon, Luther and Savannah Dixon, Abbie Dixon, Austin Anderson, and Alison Anderson; four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Collins; and a brother, Gary Smith.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Saturday, August 26, 2017 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Bradley Collins and the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.

Burial will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Paul Jameson officiating at the graveside.

Military Honors will be provided by the Georgia National Guard.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Dale Meeks, Bill Stovall, Tim Pruitt, Bryan Dooley, Matt Dixon, and Stanley Keller.

Mike Addison, Bill Kelly, and Ervin Scott will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm – 8pm Friday, August 25, 2017.

Flowers are optional. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Currahee Military Museum, 160 N. Alexander Street, Toccoa, GA 30577
